never won a Nobel Peace prize?
I reviewed a list of all winners of the award since it began and was stunned that Pope John Paul II’s name didn’t appear! How the Committee failed to note his absolute commitment to world peace and to social justice is unbelievable. Pope John Paul II can likely be credited with a significant role in the overthrow of Communism in Poland and throughout Eastern Europe. I guess their lack of focus on true peacemakers comports with this years award of the prize to someone who himself admits that he hasn’t earned the prize yet.

No I agree totally. Shows that politics plays into everything. NO human institution is perfect.
I mean if Obama had made major progress in the Middle East.. maybe.
If he had fixed the Iranian issue, improved the US image across the board, done some humanitarian work in China and South Korea — Fine, sure!
Don’t get me wrong.. I like Obama and we need to give him way more time. I just think it was premature, political, and a bit of a waste.
Circle back around and give it to him at the end of his 2nd term or something.
Yeah,… they missed the boat with not making John Paul 2 a recipient, but John Paul the 2nd has enough goin’ for him. He doesn’t need the recognition. He’ll be Sainted soon enough.
The guy was a jerk.
Anyone who discourages condom use in Africa is a dick. He is indirectly responsible for killing thousands of Africans who got HIV/AIDS after following his “advice.”
He also didn’t act quickly enough when the priest sex abuse scandals started popping up.
So yeah, I don’t give a flying f**k that he never won the Nobel peace prize.
Yes… It’s truly sad that he dd not get one. However, the TRUE prize is what GOD will provide him with, for being such a loyal and noble servant of GOD.
What Pope JP II will receive is, is immeasurable… GOD BLESS JPII !!!!

—-First of all, there is no such thing as gay marriage. Marriage has been and will always be the union of man and woman. As such, one should not use the word marriage for two gay men to want to officially co-habitate. Allowing for Gay marriage is what is tearing apart the MORAL fiber of this country, and of the world. A gay society CANNOT thrive, as a GAY society can not procreate.
