Pope John Paul II never received the Nobel Peace Prize for his lifetime of peace work among all religions…?
….is it because the Nobel Peace Prize committee is bias and bigoted against Catholics? Or is it because we just don’t always get what we deserve on Earth? Or another reason?

Comments on Pope John Paul II never received the Nobel Peace Prize for his lifetime of peace work among all religions…?
Don’t worry the Nobel committee hates all Christians, not just roman catholics.
John Paul never used a condom. That’s just plain irresponsible.
The Nobel Peace Prize committee gave Obama the award as incentive to carry out the promises he made but has yet to carry out. In doing so, of course, they invalidated the award and turned it into a mockery.
No he did not.
I suppose part of the reason that the track record of religion has nothing to do with peace.
It was because the bastard was responsible for the murder of millions. His attitude towards safe sex resulted in untold deaths and if the cathos saint him then shame on them.
Well, it’s a bit late now. They’re not given posthumously.
John Paul II never won a Noble. Mother Theresa did, so the Catholic hatred thing is nonsense. Hey, they gave the award to Yassir Arafat. That is even more ridiculous than giving it to Obama.
John Paul’s reward is in heaven……the Nobel Peace Prize will disappear one day
the Nobel committe is out of wack and needs to be reformed but it cannot be because of Alfred Nobel’s Will How can they Justify giving prizes to Yasser Arifat, Simon Perez, and Yitsak Rabin after all the violence they created, and give one to President Obama for doing nothing but leave out one of the worlds greatest champions of peace I will never know
I’ve also wondered about this.
I’ll re-check this question as I am keen to know.
Thank you very much for answering my question regarding the Wtc.
On August 6, 2000 the Vatican released, with the approval of Pope John Paul II, a document called Dominus Iesus. This document asserted that Christianity is the only true religion and that the Roman Catholic Church is the only true church within Christianity. That church then must be acknowledged as the sole pathway to God. Rome went so far as to warn its own bishops against referring to other Christian denominations as “sister churches,” for fear that this language might be misunderstood to confer some degree of legitamacy on these bodies.
You might want to inform us how a document like Dominus Iesus promotes peace. As far as I am concerned, it promotes the same attitudes that were present during the Inquisition.
Other than that, he also went backwards on contraception, marriage within the priesthood, etc. He also promoted Cardinal Law, who covered for all the priest rapists in the Boston area. Yes, Pope John Paul II had a most illustrious record of Peace.
I am for the second option .
we get our rewards here on earth or after death.
As Jesus said hypocritesget it here and the good ones store it up to get it in heaven
I do not think so.
Mother Teresa of Calcutta, a Catholic nun, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.

With love in Christ.
Well, it is true that we don’t always get what we deserve on earth, but I also think that the Nobel Peace Prize Comittee is more wary about giving the prize to people with strong religious ties. It is sad, but seems true. However, it is not just Christians for whom this applies, but really any major religion.
God bless,

Sometimes that’s just how the world works unfortunately…
