1. Pope – the chosen leader of the church chosen by the college of cardinals. he is Gods chosen representative on earth.
2. Cardinals
3. Archbishops & Bishops – in charge of a diocese. An archdiocese has an Archbishop as its head
4. Priests – head of a parish in most cases
Deacons – assists the priest at a mass and fulfills other duties such as baptism. There are two types of deacons, deacons who continue on to become priests and deacons who remain deacons for life.
5. Laity: Religious (nuns, sisters, brothers, & monks)
Men, Women, & Children – can be servers, readers, eucharistic ministers, choir members.
